Frequently Asked  Questions

Q. Are your treatments guaranteed?
A. Yes. On our full program each treatment is fully guaranteed until your next treatment. Additional Service treatments are guaranteed for 30 days.

Q. Why should I use a lawn care service when I can buy fertilizer and do it myself?
A. If you estimate the cost of products, your time, energy, and the cost for products/equipment, you will be spending more by doing it yourself. Quality Green also has years of researching and designing a treatment schedule to best apply the appropriate product at the most beneficial time of year. There is no guarantee that the products YOU buy will work or give you the results you expect. You will have to pay more to retreat at your own expense. Quality Green fully guarantees our treatments and will come back to retreat at no charge if you are not satisfied. Best of all, you will have more free time to do what you want to do. We can service your lawn for about the same cost you would incur doing it yourself.

Q. Can I have the bill sent to another address?
A. Yes. Just tell us that you want a different billing address from your service address.

Q. What are my payment options?
A. 1) When you prepay for the year on the lawn and/or shrub programs, you receive a 10% discount.
2) Each Application is due on the day of treatment. As a convenience, we leave you an invoice and return envelope with helpful lawn care tips. We accept cash, checks, and most credit cards.
3) AutoPay. Simply give us your credit card one time and each application will be billed to your card upon completion of each regularly scheduled service.

Q. Do I have to sign a contract?
A. No, there are no contracts. Your services will continue until you notify us that you want to cancel the program.

Q. Do you treat commercial lawns?
A. Yes, although most of our business is residential. A supervisor will be glad to come out and do an estimate.

Q. I have small children and pets. Are your treatments harmful to them?
A. We only use materials that are registered and approved by the EPA for their extended use in the lawn area. Also, all of our Lawn Care Specialists are trained, licensed, and closely monitored by the State of Alabama Agriculture Department in proper use and application of all our products.

Q. How long should I wait before I allow my pets or children to go on the lawn?
A. As soon as the treatment dries or is watered in and dries.

Q. Do I have to bring my pets inside?
A. No. Your pets can remain in the lawn. If you have pets, such as rabbits and turtles that eat grass, we recommend that you keep them off the grass until you water the treatment in and allow it to dry.

Q. How soon after a treatment should my lawn "green-up"?
A. On summer treatments, when we are promoting a faster growth rate, your lawn should be greener within 5-7 days. During spring/fall months, when growth is at a slower rate, it should take 10-14 days to "green-up".

Q. What if the lawn does not become green or there is a problem after the treatment is done?
A. Call the office and we will schedule your Personal Lawn Care Technician to come out. He will be glad to come out and evaluate the problem. Remember to wait the suggested 10-14 days to allow the treatment to work properly. This will prevent any damage to your lawn by over treating it. Remember to call within 30 days of the treatment.

Q. Why isn't my lawn as green as my neighbors'?
A. There are many variables that affect the color of your lawn. For example:
1) When was it last fertilized?
2) The amount and timing of watering.
3) The type of grass that you have.
4) The amount of sunlight your yard receives.
Our program promotes balanced growth as well as root growth. Green color doesn't necessarily mean it is healthy. Lawns need a healthy balance between top growth and root growth. Different types of grasses will have slightly different colors. Also, the timing of the treatments, as well as the season, will have an impact on the color.
